Project Oleander
The goal of project Oleander was to design, breed, field, and maintain a fleet of biological warships for long term service with the Imperial Kesrithi Navy. The first generation of Oleander type ships are expected to serve upwards of 50-100 years each. They are going to be mostly organic, but will have many synthetic and metallic parts. The major metallic section will be the skeleton. Each ship will have a skeleton used to guide the growth of the ship. Ship hulls will vary in size by a few meters, but the skeleton of each class will be the same. Inside those skeletons will be the base of many offensive weapons. Overall genetic design of the creatures will allow for additional installation of weapons and reloading systems.
Being living the ships have a nutritional requirement. Being produced from the same genetic material as the symbiote the Oleander type ships can feed off of nearly anything that enter's their systems. Internal passages and compartments are not part of these systems and are considered 'outside' of the creature's body. As part of the defensive structuring of the ship most passages and many rooms can be 'exposed' to the creature's internal features which includes fast acting digestive fluids that dissolve any material and use it for the ship's own nutrition.
Additionally several new weapon systems are employed by the Oleander Class Ships.
Svarog Cannon: Firing a beam of high energy liquid metal at a significant portion of the speed of light. the Svarog Cannon is a powerful weapon used on the Oleander type ships. The weapon is designed as a new standard combat system that is not built into the skeleton of the ship allowing it to be regenerated by the ship should it survive combat. The weapon impact is both thermal and kinetic giving it greater stopping power.

H-A Class AM Missiles, H-C Class AM Missiles, H-Planet Class AM Missiles: Shielded missile units. The IKN researchers had already extended shields to the numerous Templar fighters, so they decided that they could easily put similar shields onto the major AM missile classes. Slight changes in payload were made. A class now has a 50kg load(2.150 Gt), the C class has a 30kg Load(1.29Gt), and the planet class has a 1kg load(43Mt).

Dovin Basals: Dovin Basals project a miniature blackhole before them to absorb incoming fire increasing point defense systems. Dovin Basals can be used offensively to trap enemy fighter craft that come into contact with the miniature blackhole. These weapons can also be effectively used to drain shields from enemy warships. They are double as effective against material shields (shields with mass) as they are against purely energy shields.
Agni Cannon: Firing a 460 kg bolt of high energy plasma the Agni cannon has a weapons range of just over 2.6 AU. The weapon has both kinetic and thermal damage like the Svarog. Unlike the Svarog the Agni can be retargeted quickly and because it is a bolt the weapon can fire in rapid succession and have greater range.

Erra Projection Beam: The Erra projection Beam is an energy based weapon for both traditional and Oleander craft. It fires a Beam of energy equivalent to the output of Sol in one year. The weapon is an improvement over the basic Bombardment laser and is expected to take over its responsibilities within a generation.

Raiju Cannon: Fires a Beam of high energy liquid metal at a significant portion the speed of light. The energy output enormous and direct contact with the brightness from this beam is enough to blind most known beings. The Raiju fires a beam about 20 miles wide making it one of the most powerful weapons in the IKN arsenal
